I'm back from Malta guys! I'll definitely be sharing some photos asap but as I just got home early this morning, I have a great guest post from fellow blogger Tasha from Hello Tasha about her 5 summer beauty essentials. Read on to find out what they are...
Summer is finally on it's way around and everyone seems to be jetting off to luxurious places on holiday to relax in the sunshine.  For us beauty bloggers, Summer is a time for us to switch up our beauty products and personally I have a couple of products that I deem essentials for this time of year.

  • Burberry Summer Perfume*: A floral fragrance is essential for Summer and at the moment my favourite is Burberry Summer.  This fragrance is light on the skin with notes of blackcurrant and pomegranate and is a scent that lasts all day, just what you need in Summer.
  • Topshop Cheek Duo in Desert Sun: Highlighter has Summer written all over it.  I've owned this Topshop one for years and it still looks as good as new.  I love that it has the two colours, I can wear them both on their own or give it a good swirl and use both as a blusher/highlighter combo.
  • MAC Coral Bliss Lipstick: For me coral is THE colour for Summer and I especially like wearing it on my lips.  MAC Coral Bliss is a really lovely coral with pink undertones to it, it's a really subtle colour but also very buildable for a more intense colour pay off.  I know I'm going to be wearing this all Summer long.
  • Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude: I tend to go bare faced in the Summer but for evenings I do like to wear a little foundation and in my opinion this one is perfect.  It's so unbelievably light on the skin and gives a real flawless feel to the skin.
  • Barry M Nail Varnish in Green Berry: I'm really really into green at the moment (well ever since I bought my mint green car I've been obsessed) and this shade is just perfect for Summer and will really pop against a tan.

Guest Post: 5 Summer Beauty Essentials from Hello Tasha

It's that time of the year again where I and many others flock to Primark to stock up on sandals for summer. However I was quite surprised when I realised that only half of my summer footwear was bought from Primark. That's a surprisingly little amount for me.

As you can see I have six pairs for this summer (although I imagine I will end up buying at least one more). I tried to get a good mixture to go with different outfits but I am now noticing I don't have any black pairs. It's a good thing I don't wear much black for summer. Ah well, I guess I can always go barefoot since it'll be hot anyway. Such a plan.

  •  Fancy Flip Flops | George at ASDA | £14
I am not 100% sure on the cost of these as I my mum bought these last summer but they have lasted well and are a good day to night pair due to the neutral coloured, almost not there base and the gold strap detailing. I also didn't manage to buy a pair of solely brown sandals (yes, that was a pun) so these will be worn in their place.
  • Pool Flip Flops | Primark | £1
Yes really - a pound. ONE pound. For a pair of flip flops. One pound!! I had planned on buying a new £1 pair of poolside flip flops this year but to be perfectly honest I forgot while looking at all the pretty clothes and since this pair still works as it should, they are coming in my suitcase.
  • White Gladiator Converse | Office | roughly £55
These sandals featured in my Hellooo Summer OOTD and I have owned them for a couple of years. They are a size 6 but I am a 7 now and they still fit so I believe it's a sign I should wear them as much as possible. I've had mixed comments on these shoes but I love them. They're actually the only pair of Converse I own. How strange for a teenage girl. Do you love them like me or do you have mixed feelings haha?
  • Lace & Tweed | Forever 21 | £14
This lovely pair of shoes featured in my Summer Clothes Haul video and I have been wearing them an awful lot. I'm not sure if they count as sandals or not but they will be worn a lot during my holiday so I'm including them. Also, is that actually tweed or am I making that up? Anyone know?

  • ROSE GOLD loveliness | Primark | eh under a tenner?
I am quite in love with these sandals. They have an essence of that 'socks and sandals' vibe but the modern metallic material and the little toe detail makes them appropriate for 2015. Well, in my opinion. I am looking forward to giving off that touristy feeling whilst being stylish. That's what summer holidays are about after all.

  • Impulse buy sort of peachy strappy sandal things | Primark | about a tenner
I picked these up two days before travelling as an impulse buy because I knew I wanted at least one pair of brightly coloured shoes. I did see a gorgeous pair of neon yellow heels but I decided to scrap heels for this holiday and just stay comfortable instead haha.

I am the most indecisive person ever and although I used to own about 3 pairs of shoes I now want every pair of sandals I see. In particular though: these, these, these, these and also these. Sigh. They're all so pretty.

Also, do you refer to sandals as "it" or "these" or "them" or "they"? I questioned myself many times writing this post haha.

What sandals are you loving for this summer?

My Summer Holiday Sandals

When summer arrives, usually everyone gets out their warm bronze and gold eyeshadows and turns themselves into wannabe sun goddesses. But what if you're pale and have cool skin and don't particularly want to look like a sun worshipper, but still want to embrace your pale summer glow?

My answer to this dilemma is to use metallic shades. Obviously my favourite is copper pink ;), but rose gold or copper pink really will create a beautiful glow to your face while still reminding people you're pale and proud. I love how soft and romantic this look is, yet it's something you don't see every day which makes it special and is probably why I love it so much.

How to get the look:

For the eyes, I used Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer (again, part of a gift set) to help the Dazzle Dust adhere as it is a loose powder. I then applied a skin tone shade eyeshadow all over my lid and up to the brow bone. Afterwards, I took a medium brown eyeshadow and applied this in the crease, followed by lots of the Barry M Dazzle Dust in Tan. I extended the Dazzle Dust to the outer corner of my lid and then applied a champagne highlight eyeshadow in the centre of my lid and stretched it down to the inner corner of my eye as well as on my brow bone.

I tightlined using black pencil eyeliner as I have fairly small eyelids and haven't mastered how to do liquid eyeliner on my lash line without making my whole eyelid look black! I then used the MUA Luxe Voluminous Felt Liner but only from the very corner of my eye to create a soft wing. Perhaps I'll film a video tutorial to explain this technique better!

I applied a touch of brown pencil eyeliner on the outside of my bottom lash line and then blended this out into more Dazzle Dust to add just a little more sparkle! This was followed by lashings of mascara.

I also used a little of the Dazzle Dust on top of my Hoola bronzer just under my cheekbones to create unity in the look. The Latte Lip Tint is one of my new favourite lip colours as it is so unique and to tie the whole look together I added lots of highlighter on my cheekbones and nose as well as painting my nails a similar metallic colour with Miss Sporty Lasting Colour - Fall which I am in love with.

Is this a look you have seen or wanted to try before? Let me know if you do try it out!

Oliver Bonas has quickly become my favourite shop to browse in Edinburgh. Located on Hanover St, the small-ish space hosts a huge variety of weird, wonderful and beautiful fashion, jewellery, homeware and gifts. At first I thought the store was an independent boutique, but the brand has 42 stores in England and Scotland as well as the online store.

But why do I love Oliver Bonas so much? Here's a sneak peek of the shop in Edinburgh...

...and some of the amazing gems inside of it!

Why I Love Oliver Bonas

As you can probably tell from the many pictures, I am pretty in love with this outfit. We had a heatwave in Edinburgh (for 2 days - it still counts!) and the whole city was out in their summer wardrobe. The top, shorts and shoes all debuted in my Summer Clothes Haul video on Youtube.

Unfortunately I'm back to jeans for now, but fingers crossed we have a great summer weather wise ahead of us! I have traditionally always had just one pair of (very cheap) sunglasses for summer. My best was a 99p pair I got in Wales a couple of years ago. I was so proud. I struggle to find shades that suit my face shape but I adore these cat eye mink sunglasses from New Look. The neutral colour means they'll go with most of my summer wardrobe!

Also, I don't know if you noticed, but my nail polish matches the shorts PERFECTLY hence why I linked to them. There's something so satisfying about finding a perfect polish match, isn't there?

Have you ever had a perfect polish match like I have? I was honestly so happy haha!
